Position Overview
The Engineering Improvement Specialist will play a key part in refining how engineering projects are executed. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing Performance: Gathering and studying engineering data, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and track the impact of improvements.
- Automating Data Tasks: Developing code or scripts to help automate the collection, movement, and synthesis of data for review and analysis.
- Visualizing Information: Utilizing tools like Microsoft PowerBI to create clear charts and reports that help engineering teams understand complex data.
- Collaborating for Solutions: Working directly with engineering teams to grasp their challenges (‘friction points’) and proposing workable solutions, which might involve process adjustments or automation.
- Supporting Change: Assisting in the implementation of improvements by communicating changes effectively, gaining support from stakeholders, and developing training materials for new tools or processes.
